“Recently, I have found a passion for exploring motherhood, paranoia, and what brings them together in my art. As a young woman who sees motherhood as an aspect of her future, I’m interested in how this prospect can be perceived as either an eye-opening, life-altering experience or a looming oppression. The idea of paranoia as a precursor or a consequence of motherhood makes for a very personal and hard-hitting topic for a thriller or horror film. I hope to get audiences thinking about these themes, and simultaneously, take this opportunity to put female narratives in the foreground of cinema.”
